There may be difficulty to receive Freeview TV signal by the included portable antenna in some areas where the signal is not sufficiently strong. This is due to that the Freeview service in the UK is not fully operating yet. The reception will be improving along with the progress of Digital Switchover Program. A signal amplifier or booster may improve reception in regions where the signal is marginally strong. (please note that reception capability may also be affected by various factors such as proximity to Freeview TV/digital radio transmitters, tall building structures, thick walls, ceilings & etc.). A rooftop TV aerial may be required to receive Freeview in regions where the signal is insufficient for a portable antenna.

Aerial Sucks July 21, 2010 Ian Holl
This is nice TV receiver at an affordable price. It's also compatible with Windows 7's media centre, with all the functions working too. However, the aerial sucks. I plugged it into my house's external aerial to set it up & went outside to see if I could get a picture, but nothing. If you mess around tweaking it you might get short bursts of a TV stream, but it will more likely the pixelated & juddery. The bottom line is if you buy this TV receiver you'll more likely also have to buy an additional aerial because the aerial it comes with just isn't up to the job! With that aside, a good product though.
Replacement Tuner July 14, 2010 D. Gill After reading many reviews, I bought this tuner to replace another one I had which only seemed to work with XP. This August T205 model works brilliantly and does exactly what it's supposed to. My only advice would be, not to even consider using the supplied aerial but use your normal roof aerial. A good piece of kit!
Worked first time. July 1, 2010 BFitzsim Can't comment on other Operating Sytems but with Windows 7 it is easy to install. Don't use a hub on your first installation, just plug it directly to a usb port. After it installed itself, without any intervention from me, I used the search for tv channels tab in Media Centre. I had it connected to the rooftop aerial and that was fine, I tried the aerial it was shipped with after and got no signal and I live about a half mile from the Crystal Palace transmitter.
Good But Not perfect! June 25, 2010 L. E. Vajzovic Arrived punctually and worked straight from the box with no issues. Occasionally there can be a delay on sound and pictures but this is relatively rare. The main problem is the manually only deals with how to install the package. After that presumably it thinks you ought to know how to operate a TV. But several features aren't intuitive. Although I am the sort who "reads manuals when all else fails" I would like a manual for the operation.
Don't let that stop you buying it. If your PC is right it makes it a fully featured PVR.
Excellent Product at a very good price June 22, 2010 Jose Ramos After the conversion to TDT in Spain, the old TV set my wife had in the kitchen stopped working. Looking at the prices of TV sets and considering that we have two laptops at home, we decided to try this product. It seemed to have all the options at a budget price.
It turned out to be an excellent choice. It was very easy to install and the interface was very intuitive, we connected the included antenna and in a few minutes it picked up all available TV and radio stations. Granted that we live in an area where the reception is good.
The image is good and my wife is satisfied. It covered our needs at a budget price.
Exploring the software a little bit it turned out to have many useful features, you can access the electronic program guide of the different channels and program the recording of programs directly from there.
You can also record in real time, which allows you to pause your program while you answer a call or grab something to eat and resume watching afterwards at the point of interruption.
So in the end it turned out to be much more than what we were looking for.
