The other review of this product is actually wrong and the top up tv can simpy be disabled. I phoned up and they told me how to do this, and it gives you more room on the hard drive too!
Great little player, never had any problems with it myself and I use it all the time

I have had this box for less than 6 months and it has given me no end of problems.
Basically, it "updates" Topup TV even if you don't subscribe, and if you keep turning this box off every evening, which we do, you will get error messages and the box takes ages to update, and doesn't come back on until it's finished updating. Don't be surprised if you have to go a few days with it not coming on at all. Ours hasn't come on for over a week, we're taking back to get a different one!
You'll probably have no problems if you keep the box on constantly and never turn it off.
