Product Description Scart Freeview Receiver works in the same way as a digital freeview set top box but much smaller and discrete.
The device is hinged, to allow it to fit in confined spaces behind your TV
it has got Recording Function, you can record a TV Program onto an external USB memory device via the built in USB port.
You can play music in MP3 format, view photos or watch certain types of video files from an SD CARD or an external USB DEVICE

| Customer Reviews: Good item; lousy manual September 6, 2010 Peter Mercer 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is actually a great little item, which was delivered promptly, but is let down by an almost incomprehensible manual, written in Chinese/English. It was not clear whether the device would record to an SD card - one part of the manual says "Yes" and another part says it should be done to a USB device. As far as I can make out it does not record to the card, which is quite annoying as I bought an 8 GB card which cost more than the device, only to be told it is not supported, although I believe other similar devices are. It does record to a USB flash drive and the quality is very good - a pity it took me an entire afternoon working out how this could be done! Also, minimum peripherals - provide your own remote batteries,TV cable and SD card, although, having said that, it is cheap.
super little gadget September 4, 2010 brian miskin (england kent) this item was delivered very quickly,it was so simple to set up even a child could do it,it works flawlessly, superb picture quality, and the recording to usb flash drive works well, but best watched back on pc using window media player, all in all a grrrrrrrrreat piece of kit,i love it.its small and unobtrusive in my limited spaced bedroom.id reccommend to anyone, yet to try a memory card so cant comment on that yet
Not quite like other Freeview Boxes August 2, 2010 dukeofearl 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is a neat little unit that hides itself behind any TV with a SCART socket. It does not have an analog tuner as the first reviewer suggested and unlike any other Freeview box I've ever used, it just searches for the channels then stores them as 01,02,03,04 etc. It does not pick up the standard channel layout you will be used to. You can manually edit the layout but it still wants to use consecutive numbering. It loses a star for that.
It can record to a connected USB memory from the EPG which is useful and can play back some audio and video files already on a USB stick.
It also contains some built-in games including a version of Tetris!
In summary, a neat tidy unit let down by the poor channel numbering.
Great product July 30, 2010 Tayrin (Newcastle upon Tyne) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is a neat little item that plugs directly into your TV's scart socket. It's very easy to tune and gives the whole range of analogue and digital fv channels. Recording is simple (timer recordings need a little practice)and the quality is excellent. And it's portable.Definitely recommended.
