5 out of 5 stars Excellent TV   November 17, 2008

This is one of the finest TV's I have had. Very simple to set up, no tweaking needed out of the box. Panasonic factory settings are perfect. Only problem that I have with this TV is the location of the power switch. It is located on the top of the unit, making it virtually impossible to reach if you are under 5' 2" and chosen to wall mount at a decent height.

All in all, I had spent at least 2 weeks researching TV's and this one was always at the top of my list.

5 out of 5 stars Very impressive medium-sized TV for a great price   August 25, 2008

I have this as my main TV because the screen is a very decent size without being too imposing. I don't have a huge lounge, and had dreamt of getting a 37 or 40" LCD until I realised how ridiculous a TV of that size would look in my living room.

I have been absolutely delighted with the set. It looks good - very solid with a nice matte black bezel. The set up was very easy - I just plugged it in, and it automatically tuned in all the channels within 1 minute. The menus are bright, clear and easy to navigate, and there is a choice of different picture modes and settings so that you can find an image which is to your taste. It can also be set to switch automatically between different viewing aspects (e.g. 16:9, 4:3, etc.) if you wish. The picture quality is great - very crisp and clear, with deep, rich colours. The sound is punchy and dynamic. The remote control is uncluttered, and I can use it to control my Panasonic DVD/VCR as well. This is a great TV for those who want a medium-sized TV with the features normally associated with much larger sets.

Had this TV for a month now and its really top quality at an affordable price. Brilliant picture, really good sound and the auto set up did it all. Very easy to use. This is our main tv and I am delighted with it. If your looking for a 26'tv LOOK NO FURTHER

After reading the reviews on Amazon and double checking with the WHICH magazine for their review it became obvious the Panasonic LCD TV was the one to purchase. So purchased the TV via Amazon on the weekend and it arrived today (Tuesday) by 8am!! Well I can tell you that the reviews I read on this TV are spot on because this TV is superb in sound and vision! If after a 26" LCD TV then it's easy - GET THIS ONE!!!

5 out of 5 stars Cracking television - make sure you use HDMI   May 27, 2008

I bought this TV for £420 in January to go with the EX77 HDD/DVD recorder. Once connected up with a decent HDMI cable it is brilliant. I really recommend that you invest in a HDMI cable. For a couple of days until the cable arrived they were connected by scart. The quality of the TV picture means that you really can tell the difference. It also stops any faffing around with RGB/Video/component settings.

The sound is also pretty good, without being truly stunning - but for quality music-based programmes I use my Quad amp and Mission speakers. The only gripe I have is that the phono audio outputs aren't controlled by the volume control. Just means I have to get off my backside to change the volume on my amp (no remote control!).

But I'm just being picky - and this won't effect many users.

It's really intuitive to use; it automatically gets the picture ratio right on older programmes (like old Top Gears on Dave). And, if you still prefer old Ceefax to the new one, you can still use the analogue tuner for that. I love the way you can go through the sub-pages at your speed, not having to read quickly in case it moves to the next one.

All in all a great television. At around the £420 mark it was terrific value for what is a premium product.
