5 out of 5 stars GET THE 37" INSTEAD !!   June 19, 2010

PERFECT! Well apart from the fact that I'd really prefer the 37" model. It comes loaded with all and everything you'd want or desire from am HDLCDTV. Thanks for y'all who commented sincerely about this product, I compared it with other manufactures available within my budget, boy was I lucky! Got it from Asda on sale, the 37" was out of stock (sold out) hence I opted for this "perfect" replacement. When I move into my home, its gonna be 50"..

1 out of 5 stars Waste of money   June 13, 2010

This is a terrible TV the worst I have ever had the misfortune to own. Takes almost a full minute to come on. Picture quality is unbeleivably bad. If watching satelitte or dvd you get analogue TV station coming through on your screen. Maybe this is just a byproduct of are disaster of a previous Pime Minister forcing Digital TV on the country.

I suggest spending a few pounds more and buying from a company with a better name ie Sony or Toshiba I know I will be.

PS Don't try to contact them as it will always be your fault for living in the wrong area or not changing your room to suit the tv

4 out of 5 stars Pretty good, some squeaks?!   June 13, 2010
Janet Y (Norwich, UK)
This is the first TV I have bought, so I am far from an expert on such things.

The picture is mostly very good, although I'm not entirely sure what other people are raving about - it's not what I'd expect from an HDTV. Maybe I'm sitting too close to it or something.

Sound is again mostly very good, although at random points the TV squeaks very loudly. It's not something I've ever noticed on a TV before - what is the likely cause? Is it a problem with my TV? Other than this the sound is great.

The TV tuned itself remarkably quickly and I managed to set it up and start watching in about quarter of an hour. My one comment about the set up is that I find the screw to go into the desk a little redundant. Firstly, I'm not going to put a hole in my desk (I live in a rented house, and I don't think it would go down too well!) and secondly, the screw isn't particularly long. If any stress were to be put on the TV while it is screwed in, I don't think the screw would hold it. Of course, that's just speculation.

Connecting my laptop to the TV via a HDMI cable was quick and easy, although I did find that I couldn't watch any TV if the HDMI cable was attached for some reason. It appeared to interfere with the signal.

I have had some signal problems but I think that may be more to do with the aerial I'm using than the actual TV. The sound fades in and out occasionally and lines appear on the screen.

Overall though, it's a fantastic TV for the price and I would recommend it to anyone on a budget.

5 out of 5 stars Great Value TV   June 5, 2010
Mr. Steven Kenneth Ladhams (UK)
I bought this TV a couple of months ago and have it on a wall mount in our bedroom. Initially we thought we had bought a tv too big but we are now happy, having got used to it, that it was the right buy. (I think it was just the shock of a jump from 14"). I have had many TV's over the years from many different manufacturers and used to be in the electronic retail trade many years ago. I am not an expert in the finer details of TV Pictures and have seen some of the best TV's but to be honest struggle to tell them apart from other less expensive ones providing they were set up correctly. What I will say is that there is a huge difference in picture when you view a blue-ray on the TV, you can see so much more detail in close-up images. I run the TV from Sky and have an LG Blue Ray player and if you want a very good tv with the option of watching your chosen films on Blue-Ray and see them as you have never done before then you can't go wrong with this, it is a great picture, I have never had the sound above one third as it is too loud for the bedroom. I did loads of research before buying the LG and very nearly went for a Samsung, it was only the personal experience of a friend that made me try the LG and I am glad I listened to him.
Instructions come on a CD, but to be honest there is little need for them, it was so easy to set up.
