 Disappointed surprised unhappy Truthfull review September 10, 2010

I read reviews on this before buying it, i was impressed buy the reviews and connections and quality for the price of just £270, A bargin you would think.
Well packed quick delivered, but then i noticest a the damage box corner and when i unpack it had a scratch across it, I ignored it and put it on wall anyway, In general the Tv part (menu) is good, and the sound is acceptable, the menu was easy to set up and the remote was good too,
But then compareing the picture to my samsung one down stairs , I rate it 7/10, the samsung is 9/10 and 50hz, so i figured this would inprove if i used HDMI, I plug my media player HD1080p in to see, the picture menu showed 60hz picture on screen which was impressive picture, but you could not adjust the aspect on screen and black bars remain, and there was no sound, i tryed the other HDMI slots and the same happened, In other words OK picture with hdmi but no sound, and no way to adjust anything, all the other connection all work but there clearly a manufacture Fault in the Hdmi ports and menu thats controls them.
I wrote emails to hannspree website emails provided, and no responce and no change when i reset the menu.

Hi I'm Andy and i bought your Tv --Hannspree ST321MBB, I might have a problem, and i wonder if you can give me advice on it. After setting it up and it all works ok, i plugged my Hd1080p media player in to the hdmi port at the back and switch on, it was a great picture but no sound came out, i went to look in the menu and it said 'HDMI SOUND ------ Audio in' and not 'HDMI IN' but it would not let me change it to hdmi in and so i cant use my media player with your tv because the media player has no extra outputs except HDMI out, Can you tell me where i'm going wrong, and can i make your tv work with just a hdmi lead for picture and sound?... i've tried other hdmi leads and still your menu fades the option for changing hdmi sound input. Please Advise as its very frustrating.....
In addition to this you should know that for skyboxs and skyplus i can't find a code for the remotes.....
I can't get the HDMIs to work, but everthing else seems ok and although there is a usb port on the side, It just for services and not for customers, My samsung has better picture better sound and a media player built in to a working usb at tv side, it cost £20 more and its great, I will resell this Hannspree, and buy a new samsung to replace this one.

Auto set up was a doddle, came well packaged, colours are bright, looks smart - I was sceptical as its not a brand I am familiar with but I must admit that I am impressed - looks like a sony/sharp

I was attracted to this TV after rejecting 2 Toshibas that developed a sound defect which caused them to be withdrawn. This model has a very impressive list of details, all of which I am pleased to say are all one could desire in a TV of this price. The picture quality is not as good as the Toshiba that it replaced but is more than acceptable. It has enough connectivity for anybodies requirements. The menus are comphrehensive and easy to navigate, with some patience it is possible to obtain a pleasing enough picture to suit everyones taste. It was easy to set up and this was quicker than getting it out of the box. A nice touch is that it can swivel on it's stand which ensures that a 'head-on' view can be maintained. All-in-all I would recommend this TV to anyone looking for quality within a budget.

I had never heard of this make before but I read the reviews that were already on so decided to buy.
I am very pleased with the tv very good picture and so easy to set up.
I would definately recomend.
Also very fast delivery. ( Hanspree TV)

im one of those people who um and arr about wether to buy a named item or not, i looked at the reviews for this tv and it was 5 stars all round thought ill give it a try, im so happy i did i got my tv today and i cant fult it! so simple to put together and scan for channels, great looking tv!! so happy with this!!! just perfect!.
