3 out of 5 stars Thompson Indoor Aerial   July 5, 2010

Good price and promptly delivered. The construction is robust by comparison to similar products and I suspect it won't tend to fall apart. I would rate performance as OK for the price range, but not extraordinairy by any means.

2 out of 5 stars Indoor Aerial   June 3, 2010

I bought a new TV for my spare room after my old portable gave up the ghost after ten years. As I only buy TVs when they break I had completely forgotten about the aerial so as a temporary measure I ended up sellotaping my old portable one to the wall (!) until I could find a proper one.

When I ordered this item there was no picture available and I was a little disappointed to find that it takes up quite a lot of space due to the base, the circle and the two very long antennas, but my main disappointment was that after getting a good picture on one Freeview channel I had no signal at all when I changed channel and I had to keep moving the antennas around the room, with the booster at max, with little or no success. I live in London so there is no lack of towers.

This aerial does not work for me so I am back to my DIY job until I can find an alternative.

I am extremely pleased with this aerial. It gives me a lovely picture on my portable tv in the bedroom. I have tried other booster aerials with no success. It is also small and unobtrusive and would highly recommend it.

5 out of 5 stars We are one of the lucky ones!   April 16, 2010

Having tried two aerials already we were getting a bit fed up. Looked over the reviews and ordered the Thomson. We received the unit extremely quickly and connected it up to our freeviwe box and TV. After a little adjustment we have ended up with an excellent picture. In fact the TV used to be connected up to our loft aerial and the picture wasn't anything like as good as with this portanble aerial.
The freeview box which was picking up 60 or so channels with poor picture quality on a lot of them is now picking up 92 and the pictures are vivid.
First class product and speedy delivery!

2 out of 5 stars Not very good   April 9, 2010

I was quite disappointed with this model. You have to constantly move it to get a good / any picture and this is in an area with a strong signal. It's quite flimsy and the ring doesn't move well. The length of wire to plug the aerial into your TV is somewhat inadequate and doesn't leave you a lot of room to find a good area it can sit in.
