1 out of 5 stars Aerial   July 19, 2010
Mr. Gary A. Puttock (Kent, England)
I bought this as teh reviews said it works in teh roof (as opposed to mounted on the roof) can't get any signal at all. I'm in a low signal area but I expected to get at least a few channels but nothing but a few snowey primary channels, so bad you cant tell what they are.
Its now in a box waiting for the bin man.

5 out of 5 stars Digital Aerial   July 2, 2010

The aerial is very good in the loft it receives all free view programs no problems at all, Delivery prompt from Amazon.

4 out of 5 stars Good picture - easy to assemble and erect.   June 20, 2010

This aerial comes with everything that you need to secure a decent picture. Our area has been completely converted to digital and the transmitter is not too far away, so I expected to receive the very best reception. The kit includes literally everything including cable, cable clips and co-ax plug. The rear reflecter element was larger than I expected so I had to position it carefully on our outside wall, so as not to obscure windows etc. If you are placing it on a chimney it would not matter so much. If I have any critism about it at all, it is for the plastic contact cover which snaps into place. I would have prefered some sort of fixing to retain it as the 'snap' did not feel too positive. I cannot comment whether this would produce as good a picture if placed into a loft space.

We had several TVs in our house all linked to the one aerial. As a result, we had seemingly hundreds of wires and connections all going throughout the house, through booster after booster, eventually reaching the main roof aerial.

It may be down to the poor quality of wires and far too many connections, but the signal was horrendous. On a good day you could get the BBCs and Dave, all the rest were the annoying pixelated jumpy digital picture or "No signal" affairs.

So having put up with a dreadful standard of Freeview reception for many months, one day I decided to just buy my own aerial just for my TV and see if that solved it. I bought this one, planning on sticking it outside my window. But just to test, after setting it up I placed it in the loft, pointing the same way as the aerial on the roof. Went down to check my TV - every single channel absolutely perfect.

We live in the countryside in the middle of nowhere really, there are trees and hills all around and generally, signal is poor (mobile phones and analogue). But this aerial has solved all my problems.

Highly recommended.
