Product Description With Metal casing on the plugs and Gold plated Connectors this excellent quality scart lead eclipses those cheap black cables supplied with your A/V equipment. The cabling is heavy duty Oxygen Free Copper, the plugs are die cast metal, and the connectors are 24k gold plated *****All 21 pins connected *****RGB Compatible *****Gold plated connectors *****Oxygen Free Copper Shielded Cabling *****Recommended to connect DVD Players/DVD Recorders/Sky Digital/FREEVIEW/VCRs etc to your TV ***** Perfect Fit - Quality metal ends means the cable fits well and doesn't fall out, no matter how long you have the cable. So many people pay good money for today's latest Plasma and LCD Televisions and then connect up their DVD Players, Videos, Digital Receivers or Sky Boxes using the cheap scart leads supplied with the equipment. Investing a small amount more on a high quality Scart Lead can significantly improve the picture quality and stability and reduce interference. Replace the scart leads on your Freeview box, DVD player/recorder, Sky Box or Video and ensure you get the best, interference free picture you can.

best scart cables? July 10, 2010 C. Mc Mullen (Dorset United Kingdom) Upgraded our cables that came with the DVD. This hugely improved the picture quality. I had previously suspected that it was the DVD player on the way out. Excellent purchase and highly recommended, and even more so given the price of the cables. Well done Cable Mountain!
A "FULL FAT CABLE" FIVE STARS!!! May 22, 2010 E. White (London) Last thing first,"This Cable Is Truly Outstanding"!!!
Delivery:
A few days after clicking the buy button, this scart lead arrived
within the time stated by Amazon(1 to 4 days).
Item was well packaged & arrived undamaged once opened,it was very
clear that this lead was made to a very high standard.Back in the
days when DVD was the best video carrier for the average person on
the street,I was never fortunate enough to buy a scart lead that
came with caps on each end and,I was paying a lot more than what
this lead is currently sold for,so far,so good.
Description:
The physicality`s of this lead are amazing, you get metal ended plugs
with high quality gold plated contacts &,the shielded cabling is oxygen
free copper. The plugs are fully 21 Pin wired which is the best video
audio scart wiring available also, these plugs come with cut grips
for easy insertion and removal which makes access & reach a lot easier.
The outer plastic sleeve is a distinctive blue which, would stand-out
if the rest of your leads were the regular cheap looking black colour.
This lead is fairly heavy for a 1m length due to,the metal casting on
the plugs & it`s thickness,so it`s handy that the plugs fit & hold to
the female scart end......very securely!
This scart lead is fully RGB,this is the "best version" of scart lead
available,the other versions are;composite video & s-video.
Performance:
This lead is used between a 28"Hannspree 1080p full HD tv(you can
read my review on that tv)& a Thompson Sky+ Digibox(I`ve posted a
review on that too!).From the very first time this lead was connected,
I got NO picture......! What I didn`t realise was that my present scart
lead was only"composite".So I had to change some settings, you may also
have to do the same if you get no picture,or a inadequate one!
Your source device must, also be able to output RGB - if it's a Sky box,
you need to go into"Picture Settings" & change the video output from PAL
(composite)to RGB,& then press "save settings".
Now once this was done these three items(tv,sky+ & scart lead)took on a
refreshing, new & very much improved look. What became apparent was that,
colours were bolder, textures deeper & the picture on a whole was
more vibrant.
This lead alone has, taken this set-up to a totally new level that
previously.......
"Just Wasn`t There"!
Conclusion:
No lead or additional item of audio/video can make your equipment "preform
better"!........."BUT",you "CAN" purchase items that,"LET" the true potential
of a product,or products "Shine Through"!!
The 1 Metre Metal Plug, Gold Plated, OFC Scart Cable 1M Shielded Lead by
Cable Mountain,"DOES" exactly that...and to a very very high standard...
"Truly Outstanding"......A "FULL FAT CABLE" FIVE STARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent product February 9, 2010 R. Towersey Very impressed with this product.Definite improvement in picture quality compared with old silver Scart.Great service too from cable mountain.Quick delivery. Recommended item and company A+++++
Improved my picture quality. January 28, 2010 Matt (PSN thetermin8er) (Nottingham) I recently upgraded to HD. I used the same Scart lead last time i hooked up my old CRT TV (some 7 years ago)and did not think this was a good move. I looked up some forums and most people were saying it would have no effect. I got them on the off chance and the gold plated scarts have improved my picture quality by a good 20%. I was amazed at teh difference they made. Definately worthwhile replacing / upgrading if you are using old leads.
Nothing Special January 8, 2010 Mr. Obaidur R. Choudhury (UK) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
It has made no difference to the picture quality of my brand new lcd, in fact i was having a bit of problem with it, the scart kept coming off the tv, eventaully managed to get it to stick in. Should've saved my money and just stuck with the standard one that came with the virgin box.
